Negotiation Works is a new non-profit organization that provides negotiation skills training to vulnerable residents of the District of Columbia metropolitan area, including women experiencing homelessness, domestic violence survivors, and people recently released from prison.

Every week, staff and trained volunteers travel to local service providers to teach negotiation skills classes using our innovative, multi-week, interactive curriculum. Our programs help individuals apply effective negotiation strategies to all areas of their lives. Class participants learn to engage in more productive and less conflict-ridden interactions with employers, landlords, service providers, family members, and friends. They gain self-confidence and the skills necessary to lead more stable lives.

Our negotiation skills training programs have the potential not only to help individuals but also to benefit our entire community: when its members make solid, durable decisions and engage in stronger relationships, we all enjoy a more stable society.
